I take muscle tech 100% pure premium
1 scoop per day.
I worry a lot about the possible chemicals in it.
(Lead, mercury, arsenic, and who knows what else).
And,,, out of curiosity, what are the dangers of TOO MUCH protein powder?

Everything is made of chemicals. Protein powders have to pass testing to be on the market. They're safe.

If there are 2 things that I don't worry about is protein and creatine, just because there has been studies over the years that say is good for your body. I would post links of few articles but community rules don't allow it. You can research it yourself but I doubt protein power will harm you. Maeby just some nasty gases like evryone else said.

I absolutely do not trust the quality of these supplements. Is what I am getting a product that matches the label claim?
And you mentioned contaminants. Who knows what's really in those powders?

I prefer real foods for protein like beef, chicken, turkey, pork, Greek yogurt, eggs, beans fish.
Whole foods are better than any supplements.

And how do you know what's in the food? You dont. You trust that it was processed according to some rules and regulations. The same with protein! It's great to get protein from whole foods, but sometimes it's not enough or convenient and powders fill in just perfectly.

Optimal nutrition comes from lean meats, fresh fruits and veggies, 100% whole grain, home baked stuff, beans, nuts, eggs and raw, unpasteurized dairy.

And if you can't get your nutrition from whole , real foods, oh well...eat whatever...

Constipation! This is why I stopped drinking shakes, they always back me up. Even boost shakes and slim fast shakes caused this same problem.
