I don't get a lunch break (per se) and I used to skip it altogether, but I'm finding quick, healthy snacks keep me going ( duh- a no-brainer for some of you). Looking for other suggestions of things that can be eaten standing up and don't need cooked/heated. I can't eat seeds, nuts or berries with seeds [groan- I miss them]

How about a healhy shake? Those are always quick and easy. But I know some don't like them and they may not be very *filling* I normally have one as my afternoon snack right before I leave work so I am not starving when I get home.0

pita crisps
granola bars
dry cereal
cut up veggies
rolled up deli meat with gourmet mustard inside
celery with cheese
apples and cinnamon (cinnamon helps curb hunger cravings)
edamame (heat at home, can be eaten cold)
boiled eggs
crackers (I like bear paws veggie crackers, 100 calories for 12)
apple sauce
banana (yuck, but it's just a suggestion lol)
lean sausage
laughing cow cheese
yogurt
protein drink
sandwhich of any kind0 -
string cheese is my favorite
baby tomatoes
celery
mix a diced peach and half an apple with 1/3 cup of yogurt.0 -
baby carrots, raw broccoli, basically any chopped up veggie. If you need the added flavor and you're able to sit for a minute, you can drip them in fat free ranch.
little sandwiches made with sandwich thins (100cal) and a wedge of laughing cow cheese. You can put a few slices of turkey or ham (just watch the sodium)
fiber plus bars, special k bars, kashi bars (many many kinds from these brands)0 -
60 calorie Frigo lite swirl string cheese sticks0

rice cakes with peanut butter (if you can eat it...not sure if it's anything made out of nuts or just whole nuts that you can't have) or plain, triscuits and hummus, baby carrots, laughing cow cheese with crackers or mini bagel...0

How about a wrap? Those are simple and easy to eat @ your desk. Or you could make yourself a sandwich using pita bread (I've eaten a few lunches @ my desk).
I make my lunch the night before and slice apple or orange to go with my sandwich...(or whatever!).
Carrot/zuchinni sticks, sliced cucumber, apple slices & peanut butter, apple slices & cheese, bagel thin & sliced turkey (with laughing cow cheese)....
Another thing I will do is make a bunch of oatmeal on Sunday and i'll have oatmeal all week long for breakfast (or lunch - depending on what's going on for that day) and have a banana for my morning snack.0 -
Today I'll be eating lunch at my desk, so I'll be having Demspter's Thinfuls toasted and topped with laughing cow light cheese and some bruschetta I made.
Maybe something similar, sandwich, wraps things like that. Plus some carrot sticks. Or I personally liked sliced cucumber and tomato.
Oh, and I'm having a yogurt too.0
