I have read over the web that whey is the cheapest source of protein, but the way im calculating it, it doesn't add up. Take a look and correct me if im doing something wrong.

Depends what brand of whey you're using and where you're buying it.

eggs are pretty cheap in America about $0.15 per egg = 6 grams of protein.

tuna fish = $1 per 20 grams of protein.

oat meal $0.07 per 5 grams protein.

dry lentils $2 per 120! grams of protein

whey powder that I buy = $1 per 30 grams protein.

Depends what brand of whey you're using and where you're buying it.

You are lucky that yogurt is cheap in Greece.
Also, why not add pork to your database? It's cheaper than chicken breast and a lot more flavorful.
If you buy the bigger Optimum Nutrition package (2.273kg) you pay less than 25EUR/kg.

No, it isn't the cheapest source but rather it is a convenience .v. expense trade off.

I don't know if it's the cheapest, as I only use it for convenience in my smoothies. I would suggest that the chicken would be more expensive than your chart shows though, as you'd have to factor in the cost of cooking it. Same with the eggs, unless you are eating them raw.

No, canned fish, Greek yogurt, eggs and beans are not only less expensive but actually much better.

You never really know what you're getting in those buckets of powder anyway.

Chicken and Whey are one of the most cheapest protein there are, the reason they called is as "chepeast protein" is that you dont have to cook it/ready to take it in your body just with water

I can get a gram of protein for about $0.0195 from boneless, skinless chicken breast.

I can get a gram of protein for about $0.0325 from Optimum Nutrition whey from Amazon.

Milk is a great source as well- it can easily beat out whey when it's on sale.
