Three (3) years ago I had a massive wake up call. I saw a picture of myself next to my Goddaughter and was embarrassed with how I looked!
I made the decision right there to do something about my weight so I started walking around the block and finally felt comfortable to go to a gym after a few months. I trained hard 6 days a week. I did cardio only when I started and the stepper was my BFF

Great job.
Pictures was part of my wake up call as well. This time around my focus is going to be on maintenance since that is where I have blown it for the past 40 years of yo yo weight.0 -
Thank you!
I still have 7kg to lose for my next goal and maintenance is hard but once it's in our heads to not go backwards then it should be easy0 -
At my age I think one more regain could take me out. I am losing slow and even stopped and maintained 90 days at 220. Now I am just under 200 for the first time in 22 years. At 250 and crippled with advanced arthritis I looked like a blip and had to have help getting out of the car and could not walk very far at all due to pain and all. By the time I was down to 220 most of my arthritis pain had faded so much I stopped being controlled by it.
It was good you made your change while you are still young because as a senior citizen weight loss is not like it use to be for me.
I do want to work down another 25 pounds so I will be at the weight I was at 25 when I got out of the Navy. I think I will be able to maintain for life as long as my memory does not fail me.I know some guys that had to be put into nursing homes because they were too fat for the family to manage at home. I do not want to be put in a nursing home just because I am so obese that it prevents me from caring for myself.

I'm happy for you, Suzy. I know all too well the sense of liberation one feels, having been freed from the shackles of a heavy-weight body. It's exhilarating! Keep up the good work. That last 7kg is definitely achievable!0

Thank you for your kind words! It's been a tough 3 years but when I saw the weight come off - that was exciting! I have no intention of slowing down yet!0
