I'll be running in Dublin marathon on 26th October. First attempt at doing a marathon. I need tips and advice too0

Ah good man Damian, I did the marathon about 8 years back I was only new to running then.0

What I know now that I wish I knew then was, get my gait checked and get the correct runners! Also use a heart rate monitor if you have access to one, just work out your different zones and stick to them, stops you worrying about mins per mile, there is plenty in Google about finding HR zones. Happy running.0

I'm a runner...not long distance yet but would love to do a marathon. Hopefully next year.
Havent run in 9 days due to a knee injury and really feeling it! I've a 5k in a few days so hopefully will have sorted itself out by then.

Hi Gillian. That's great. Where is the 5km? Dublin? I'm looking forward to my first marathon. Not sure how that will go tho lol0
