Everyone should have one.

I was being a cheap *kitten* when it came to to buying one because everyone was talking about spending $300 + for theirs.. so i never got one (not to mention i was afraid i was over logging my ex. cals - didnt wanna face the truth) well i finally got one, and it turns out i was UNDER logging my calories by about 200 everytime i worked out.

I just did! Can't wait til it arrives!

I always use the database to log my exercise, and I don't think a lot of the stuff on there is accurate, so the HRM will be my rock!

I agree. It is so handy to have all the info right there while you're working out. No more frustration wondering if the calories from the drop down menu are accurate (if the exercise is there at all).

100% agree. I have the Mio Motiva for now. I love it and I love knowing the truth about what I'm burning. It gives me more confidence when eating back my calories.

I really want the BodyFit Media bluetooth, but the cost is out of my range right now. Maybe for my 50th birthday?

Yeah I was cheap when I bought mine and I'm not sure how accurate it really is; the numbers always seem low but idk. Saving up for a nice one now :grumble:

i know! the most frustrating thing is going to boot camp or zumba and not knowing AT ALL what you burned.. at least on a tredmill or MFP you have a range..

I just bought one about 1 1/2 months ago (Polar FT7) and it's the best investment that I've made for my weightloss journey! Well, that and the Nike+ sportband that I use for tracking my miles when I'm running. (One device for each wrist when I hit the road for a run!)

also, i have a bad habit of over working myself, and with this at least if i hit my goal i can slow down instead of popping a lung!

I have a MIO sport, love it. Used to have a Polar but didn't like the chest strap. Definitely a must have if you're serious about tracking your calories.

Make sure it has a chest band, those are more accurate.

I have a NewBalance F4 that I really like. I can set 3 work out intensities, it's pretty easy to use and I don't have any complaints for what I paid ($45 on Ebay).
