My boyf and I go to the movies A LOT. And every time we go, his 145 pound self has to get a large popcorn smothered in weight gain! Finally, I decided enough was enough and started to smuggle in my own snacks! lol As a PCOSer, low sugar is IMPERATIVE to my life, so feel free to make adjustments better suited to you! ![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
*The popcorn I prefer to use is Orville Reddenbacher's Tender White 100% Whole Grain
Elephant Ear of Corn:
2 cups of popped popcorn
1 tbs cinnamon (cinnamon has been shown to help reduce insulin levels in PCOSers!)
1-2 packets of sweetener (I prefer Truvia or Splenda w/ fiber)
Mix together in sandwich bag and voila!
Trail Mix Popcorn:
2 cups of popped popcorn
1 100 calorie pack of Emerald Almonds and Walnuts
1 mini box of raisins
10 m&ms (every good trail mix has chocolate!)
Southwest Zest Popcorn:
2 cups of popped popcorn
A few sprays of Parkay or I Can't Believe It's Not Butter sprayable butter
1 tbs of Parmesan cheese
2 shakes of each:
Chili powder
Cumin
Garlic powder
These are just a few Ive tried and loved and I know that there are some great flavored powders out there like ketchup (yum!) and cheese! If you have any recipes that you've tried, I would love to hear them! Happy popping!
