Counseling really helps. It's hard to start, but doing this on your own is harder. Binge eating is an eating disorder.0

Therapy and yoga helped change my relationship with food.
How Yoga Can Help End Binge Eating
One breath at a time, end the suffering of binge-eating
...According to Juliano, yoga gives people the skills to stay with what they are feeling, rather than turning to food to escape. People who are obese or suffering from eating disorders have a tendency to dissociate from their bodies -- to choose not to feel what they are feeling when they are angry, anxious, or sad. Often, they turn to food to numb themselves. "There's this sense that I have to feel better right now, " Juliano says. "There is a complete intolerance of what is happening right now." This need to escape unpleasant feelings triggers a binge.
When you eat to escape what you are feeling, you lose touch with the experience of eating, as well. This is one reason binges can spiral out of control. "You have no understanding that you are full, way past full, into uncomfortable, because you're so out of it," Juliano explains. "You have no connection to what you're eating. You're eating a pint of ice cream and can't even taste it. Or you go to make yourself some toast and before you know it, half the loaf is gone."
Mindful yoga directly challenges the habit of dissociating from your body and your present-moment experience. "The whole point of yoga is to stay connected to your body. You learn it through practice, through breathing, and through breathing through the sensations."

What is it about exercise that you hate? Do you have good shoes? Do you get bored? Do you use an MP3 player?
I mix up my walking by going different places. Also, I walk on trails in the woods and work on the trails. Some days I will pick up sticks, some days I use the big clippers, some days I use the little clippers, some days I carry weights, some days I just walk.
I joined the Y for a month last winter when I was snow bound. There's so much to do there! I love people watching from the overhead track. Mine has a pool, too. I would get bored if all I did was the treadmill, so I don't do that at all, especially because there's an overhead track available. When I do weights, I hop on the elliptical for a minute or two in between sets. I bring a book if I'm going to be on the bike.

I also have binge eating disorder. It all starts in the mind. Be more aware of what is happening in the now. We are all capable of stopping ourselves. For me, it has nothing to do with the actual food. Try this meditation and also mindful or intuitive eating. This has helped me, I havent had a binge for a very long time I hope it helps you too:

and choose an exercise you like - do you like dancing? I used to hate housework but I what I hated more was untidy or dirty house so I had to change my thoughts. Now I no longer hate housework (and I dont love it either) but I LOVE the end result of a clean and tidy home. I am blessing my home every time I do the housework. I am blessing my body every time I exercise. Good luck to you.0
