NO KITCHEN HELP!!!

Our kitchen is being re-done ie walls being knocked down and everything so atm my only real options are: cold food, microwave food or eating out!
I'm trying to put a list together of things I can get from the supermarket tomorrow.. what else can you suggest? I need more meal stuff rather than snacks.
Apples
Pears
Grapes
Satsumas
Strawberries
Raspberries
Grapes
Bananas
Iceberg Lettuce
Lambs Lettuce
Cucumber
Microwave Vegetables
Cooked meat
Tinned Tuna
Tinned Salmon
Soup.... lots of soup.
And I've already got stuff at home like; eggs, oatmeal, yogurt, granola, milk, bread etc etc

cous cous is easily made with boiling water then putting a plate on top of the bowl. goes well with salads, cold meats etc.

Good luck. Be aware when buying canned food. Levels of sodium can be sky high .0

How about a slow cooker/crock pot? Throw frozen chicken breasts in it in the morning, along with salsa. When you get home stir it up to get the chicken all "fall aparty" and add a little fat free sour cream. This can go in tortillas, on bread, or whatever, and it's great cold so if you make enough you have lunch for the next day.0 -
When I remodeled my kitchen we put our fridge outside...is that an option for you? Maybe someone could loan you a toaster oven?
If you have a Fresh & Easy near you they have little frozen meals that are not too terrible with the sodium. it is thier brand named Eat Well.
hmmm well a crock pot can be plugged in anywhere. Just need a make shift counter for prep.
I think they sell those little bbq's at the grocery store for around $10, you know the kind you can take to the park and set on the picnic table.
Good Luck I know it is hard but a new kitchen so makes it worth it!!!

We have made very good fish in the microwave. Wrap it in microwavable wax paper with seasonings [I particularly like lemon slices, garlic and rosemary] and microwave until done [two 4oz fillets usually takes just 6 min in our microwave.] We also make rice and baked potatoes in the microwave. Recipes abound in the internet for microwave cooking, actually.
We also make a lot of tacos in our house, which can also be done in the microwave if you don't add meat that needs to be heated. We do beans, tortillas, lettuce, and salsa most of the time, but you also can get Tysons precooked chicken slices too.0 -
If you could get your hands on a george foreman type grill you could have grilled meat and salads!0

My parents aren't up for buying a George Forman/Portable stove! The fridge is in the hall so thats all good!

They really arent expensive for a little one, like a tenner or so from supermarkets. Hmm other than that I would suggest eating diet ready meals you can microwave... yes I know ugh with the sodium but at least its a meal rather than a snack0

I know its super annoying - if it was up to me I'd get a camping stove :grumble: Just found out they have an ancient bbq though so will get them to dig that out
I know WW do a range of ready meals but I saw a documentary about how bad they are for you... basically anything 'low calorie' will have something else really bad ie sugar/sodium... you can't win with those things. But I will get a few just so I got substanitial meals. They are safer than restaurant eating I assume (after my 1,290 calorie chicken baguette revelation the other night)0
