My doctor said I have tendonitis and bursitis of the knee and to rest 2 weeks because I was really strong on the tests so she thought I should be ok by then. It has been 4 weeks and only felt an improvement this last week. Is it okay to run yet with a knee brace? It hurrs if I jump or twist. I am trying to do strength exercises. I swam. Bike hurts. I lost a lot of muscle. Not sure when to go back or if I start with elliptical first then run walk soon or wait til the pain is completely gone?

I would return to the doctor and a PT if possible. It takes a long time to heal a knee. Why risk further injury if you're not sure?0 -
If it hurts you to bike, definitely don't run. Usually the progression is bike>elliptical>run.0

Thanks I agree...bike was fine then elliptical hurt so sounds like good progression idea.0
