Stretch Marks! YUCK!

Hey all! I wasn't quite sure what section this question would fall under, but I need help! I've been trying everything to get rid of the white stretch marks I have and nothing seems to be working. (Maybe I'm just impatient lol) Is there any tips/tricks you know of to help?! Thanks a bunch!!! :happy:

    I've been reading pregnancy books like the ****ens lately, and all of them say that you can't really do much about them once they are there, other than wait until they go away [which can be a long time, unfortunately.] Apparently, in actual trials, most of the "miracle creams" don't help much, and a lot of the anecdotal evidence comes from people who naturally have skin that does not get them easily/recovers quickly and its not the actual product that is helping.

    I was hoping I would be able to do something about them too!

    From what I understand, the only way to actually get rid of them is through a special type of laser treatment. I think it might be somewhat pricey though. Many dermatologists offer it. Otherwise, have you tried Mederma for stretch marks? Their products are specifically formulated to reduce the appearance of scars which is exactly what a stretch mark is. I don't think you can totally get rid of them with a cream, but you can make them blend in more. My stomach is just tore to pieces after having my daughter, but they have lightened up a lot, and it's not so bad. I like to think of them as the battle wounds of motherhood. :-)
