Hello,
I am Melissa. I am 38 and a mother to three teenage sons. I have a wonderful husband and I am blessed with staying at home. Although I do work from my computer 12 hours or more a day.
My weight has ballooned out of control. I am on a LARGE amount of medications and many do cause weight gain but that is no excuse. I know I have not been eating properly.
I quit smoking in August of last year and I am soooooo Happy.
Now it is time to lose this weight the right way.
I am not active and will have to approach that slowly.
I weigh 225 and I am 5'3"
You can see photos of me Now in my profile.
Any tips will be great.
I started my first day on a 1200 calorie diet and so far, I have 200ish calories left and I have already had supper!

I wish you luck- don't fall off! I know day 1 seems like a long way from the end, but before you know it, it will be 2 weeks....6 weeks...months!
I hear you because I am close to your height (5'2'') and am also on the path to losing weight. Don't give up!0 -
Hi Melissa,
Every since I got my desk job, it's been tough keeping this weight off. I'm at a computer all day too and movement is slow. I recently made a stand up desk to see if it would help me move around a bit more and it seems to. Also, I try to take a break and go for a walk in the middle of the day. I do my workouts first thing in the morning to get them out of the way and this website has been great of keeping track of my food. It really makes a difference.
I'm in my 40s and the weight seems much harder to take off than when I was 20 We can do it!
Good luck with your quest.0 -
