Which do you choose?

The stipulations are..

.. drinks count! Water goes without saying, but if you want to include anything else to drink, it counts as a food item.

.. they must be relatively simple food items. For example, a taco is not a food item. The ingredients in the taco would each count as a separate food item. Let's not get crazy, though. For example, bread counts a single food item even though it's made up of multiple ingredients.

    Chicken, diet Dr. Pepper, cheese (any kind will do), pretzels, cucumber, eggs, tomatoes, lettuce, lemons, Gilbert's Beef & Bleu sausages.

    Eggs, self-rising flour, cheese, green beans, apples, butter, tea bags, Mrs. Dash, sugar, and milk.

    With those ingredients I can make scrambled eggs, deviled eggs, meringue, souffle, pancakes, cake, bread, muffins, pizza, biscuits, cookies, noodles, custard, pie, casserole, quiche, Alfredo sauce, and smoothies. At least.

    I've been poor enough to let the refrigerator go bare and I would never allow myself to run out of eggs.

    Oh, and iced tea.

    And grilled cheese sandwiches.

    Being poor can teach you some pretty wicked cooking skills! I remember having to figure out what to do with large batches of one kind of produce from the food bank. I can make a great zucchini soup now.
