Hello all,

I admit to weighing myself daily. However, I would only update my weight once a week. Lately I have been updating my weight daily (provided there was a change). I find it is helping keep me accountable.

I weigh everyday and update when it's lower for a couple days in a row.

Why would you feel the need to "admit" to doing something that is good for you?

    Oh, there's a question too :p
I weigh daily, log in Fitbit, analyze by Trendweight.

Every Friday morning. No questions asked. IMO daily is too often but whatever works for you! :)

Once a week on a Monday, so I don't 'blow it' over the weekend

Every day. I like tracking trends. I also do not let the number sway me.
  • I update once a week on my weigh in day. Updating every day would make me crazy. What about water weight fluctuations?

If by update your weight you mean enter it into MFP, then whenever I way myself (almost every day). No reason not to unless you need to psych yourself out (which is OK if it works for you).

I only weigh every couple of weeks or so, and update then. I had an ED many years ago and know how very easy it is for me to get obsessed with numbers, especially the ones on the scale. I don't ever want to get to that point again. As long as I'm eating well and exercising as much as I can, at this point in my life I don't need to see the number on the scale very often.

I update my weight daily to analyze on trend weight. Though I sometimes ignore a random high day that I know was the result of extra sodium or alcohol. If that high weight stays more than I day I log it.
  • i weigh myself every day but only record it when there's a loss.

    Weigh daily, log daily

I record on my lifting sheets, so 4 days a week, M, T, Th, F. I only record a loss when the number has dropped and stayed down for a couple days.
I should use all the pages (months) I have, put them in an excel sheet and chart it out….but that seems like too much work….lol

Unless there's no change, I record my weight daily to see my trend and hope it stays where I want.

I use a different app to log my weight and other things like BP, etc. I weigh pretty much daily, but my official day is Thursday.

Somebody else mentioned trendweight, I think Trendweight is awesome. I hook it up to my fit bit account, and it pulls my weight from that. It tells me a rolling average, so all those fluctuations get smoothed out.

Happy Scale is an app that does the same. I weigh every morning and input it into Happy Scale. I usually enter my weight in MFP on Saturdays and Mondays because of groups I'm part of. Sometimes midweek too if I'm happy with how things are going.

I weigh daily and my scale automatically syncs the weight to Fitbit which updates my weight here; so weigh/log it daily.

I weigh in everyday and record my weight once a week. Although I'd like not to weigh myself everyday, I can feel myself getting slightly addicted and it's not good. I think once i get to my goal weight I will only weigh in once a week.

About once a month I know it is not a lot but I was weighing myself way to much, pretty much every time I went into the bathroom and had to make a change.

Just FYI, I just read your profile. Very impressive! Good luck!

I weigh myself at the dr office lol and that's maybe yearly. I'm one of those people who base everything on what you see and feel. Weight is just a number

I weigh myself once a fortnight and update my weight on mfp every 2 months. I found that I self sabotage when I weigh myself more often. Besides, my clothes tell me how I'm doing.

if its keeping you accountable and not pi**ing you off as it does with me sometimes, then I guess daily is ok. I weigh once a week.
