Banana boats

Made a new dessert tonight that was REALLY good. Thought I would pass it on.

Slit unpeeled bananas almost in half lengthwise. Don't cut all the way through. Cut the tail off as well. Sprinkle chocolate chips in the slit (I used about 5-6 for a whole banana). Wrap in tin foil and grill for 5-10 minutes until banana is soft and chocolate is melted. To serve, open foil, open banana enough to put some cool whip in/along slit. I used about 2 TBSP of cool whip. Eat right out of the peel. SUPER good- tasted almost like a banana split!! The kids used more cool whip and I did put a few more chips in theirs, and they loved it as well.

    I have a friend who does something similar, but she puts chocolate chips and mini marshmallows....I think. LOL I'm going to have to try it either way! Thanks for sharing!:happy:
