    You are morbidly obese

    Drop weight until you're healthy

    Lift heavy to preserve muscles

Do not worry about things you have no control over. Loose skin is down to genetics and time eg you won't know what you're left with until around 2 years after you hit target and the if left with a lot of excess skin you can choose to do something about it surgically

Hi, I'm 40 and Female. I've always carried a lot of weight in my legs (thighs in particular), now ive lost a fair bit of weight I have saggy skin in my legs. I think upping the exercise is key, this will help firm things up, don't resort to surgery straight away, and keep going, your overall health is more important than the little imperfections. Good luck!

Skin takes a while to ping back as much as it's going to. Immediately after / with weight loss it's still stretched and needs time to recover

The amount of recovery is definitely down to genetics and luck as well as how long you were overweight for

Lose weight at a decent rate, lift heavy and be patient

2 years at maintenance and you can be almost guaranteed it won't continue to improve but you may be able to live with what you're left with

Worrying about it at 240lbs is not beneficial, you have more primary concerns in your health and health risks that mean getting your weight down should take priority
