There is the Hypothyroid and Hyperthyroid group on here. I can't say we have all the answers, because any thyroid condition expresses itself in a personal way, though we all have symptoms in common, we do have ideas you can try and theres support too. Membership of the group and threads on it do reflect the portion of the population who are hypo. Look forward to seeing you there.

My doctor said I was borderline a few weeks ago. I have to retest in 3 months. So far counting with a doable goal has been working great for me. Adding exercise is my new goal. I have wii fit and an elliptical .

I'm also have under active thyroid. As of right now it's under control and I have no trouble losing weight. It's a bit tougher is your thyroid is off and you have no energy. I totally understand that....but we can do it :)

I have hypothyroidism as well and have been successful at losing weight in the past by following the MFP guidelines. Also, having a FitBit is a great motivator! :)

Using a Fitbit so maybe this will help.

Exercise for fitness; log to lose weight. I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease), and I lost the weight long before my thyroid levels ever entered the "normal" range by following the advice in the Sexypants post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p1 Logging works.

Fitbit challenges are great motivation—and fun. You can find friends in the Fitbit Users group: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/1290-fitbit-users
