Anyone been to a "bootcamp" type retreat center?

I went to a "wellness" center in Malibu which was basically a bootcamp. 6 hours a day working out, all organic "good for you" food at 1500 calories a day, nutrition and cooking classes, meditation and no caffeine or alcohol. It was an amazing experience, but I'm having trouble continuing with everything I learned. Of course, I can't work out 6 hours a day...I do have a job! But I would like to live life in a more healthy way..and I never felt healthier that week. I'm doing well on the food plan and calories (though I've adjust down to 1350), but am having some trouble motivating to stretch, work out, and forget about no caffeine or alcohol!

I just wondered if anyone else has been to one of these places and if so, I'd be very interested to know how you did once "back home" to reality. Thanks!

I was at actual boot camp, lost about 25 pounds in 6 weeks, and that started decades of yo yoing.

I do great when I am mindful of diet and exercise, but when I lose focus the weight creeps back on. However, my body does complain when I don't move enough, so I do have that going for me.

Sounds interesting, I've not been to one so can't help with that part.

Have you tried to write down your goals and gradually add them over time until you reach all of them?
