I probably talk horses and trail riding a whole lot better than anything else, but as a WW lifetime member who's gained some weight back, I'm open to trying to encourage others the way I'd like to be encouraged.

I am a 47 y.o. married Illinois woman with no human children. I am owned by 2 dogs, 8 cats and 3 horses. I have fought the weight battle my entire life. I lost 45 lbs with WW back in 2008. The past 5 years have been a real struggle keeping it off. I bought a Garmin Vivofit last October hoping that every time that red line showed up, I'd move my butt more!

Fast forward to about 6 weeks ago when I realized that the Vivofit synced with myfitnesspal.com, so I went to check it out. I was elated when I realized it showed me exactly what I was suppose to eat for carbs & sugar as they're what seems to keep me "fluffy" ;) I've had 3 vacations where tracking just wasn't easy for me in that last 6 weeks, so I'm just now really getting started with this. I "found" the message boards today and decided to dive in.

I'm looking forward to meeting others and making this journey more fun :)

  • Hi there!

Nice to see another equestrian on the board!

I am in the process of getting my health back in order. I have about 15 pounds I would like to rearrange. I am not one to really get into message boards, but since yours popped up with the word horse in the title, I figured I would join up.

I have four horses that keep me pretty busy right now.

Nice to meet you and hope to chat soon!

I have been riding for over 20 years. I don't have my own horse, but I am lucky to have a friend that lets me ride whenever I can (which is still not as much as I'd like, but hopefully more energy to ride will come with dropping weight and building muscle). I would love to chat with you, I'll send you a friend request!

It's nice to know I'm not the only one out there that the word "horse" turns her head! LOL Nice to "meet" both of you! My name is Kim. I'm from Illinois :)

PS: I get most of my exercise via animal chores, LOL!
