Can't/Won't Go Back

Hi everyone, it's been a long time since I've been back on MFP. Initially I lost a total of 130 pounds and maintained for over two years. Since I had surgery, life getting busy, age, insomnia, etc., I have put back on a little over 20 pounds. I used to work out minimally five days a week and now it's been weeks. With my nonstop insomnia it is just so hard to work out and stay motivated, but i have to, I have to get back. Any tips would be appreciated, feel lost like I've forgotten so much on how I got to that 130 pound loss. Stress has made me go back to some late night eating, granted it's healthy eating but still not easy. Also I work in a place filled with food and I have always been a stress eater. Just don't want to feel alone in this journey. Thanks.

Feel free to friend me... I'm on again, off again w my logging due to the fact that I have a pretty hectic schedule, but when I'm around, I'm happy to give encouragement. I can relate to the part about working in a place that's full of food. It's Tuesday and we've had bagels and two cakes here already this week! Yikes. I don't even go in the break room anymore.

Insomnia bites, but if you can do it, exercise can help you regulate it. Even if you can just make yourself do 10 minutes when you get home from work, it will help. I have started doing 4-5 minute "metabolism boost" workouts that I find on facebook or youtube. I do them first thing in the morning. I don't log them, because I don't think they burn enough calories to count, but they do seem to wake me up a bit. It might help to work something small like that back into your routine. I barely start sweating, then hop in the shower and get on with my day.

Good luck! Feel free to tag along with me. Like I said, I'm not always here, but I'm happy to chime in when I am.
    Jen
