my name is Derek im 39 and live in Allentown PA. I am currently 6ft 390lbs I used to be very active but the past 3years i have been on medications for mental health. 1800 mg of , nuerotin, 600 mg of seroquel, 60 mg of cymbalta, and a few others for depression. I had gained about 150 lbs in the past 3 years due to the medications keeping me so lethargic and then just developed into pure laziness. While on the meds my legs and feet would get extremely swollen, and hard areas of fat due to fluid build up. I have been off the meds since August 7th and i am starting to feel tremendously better. No more swollen feet and totally changed my diet. I would go through a 12pack of soda a day, now i drink only water and have cut out fast food and junk food. It was really hard for me to just walk around but i have been exercising i have a step machine im using for 30 mins a day, I just really started this life change on the 7th. of this month I am looking for any help offered, feel free to add me as a friend

You're definitely taking positive steps in the right direction! Eating healthier foods & less junk, cutting soda, more water, getting some sort of exercise is absolutely the best thing you can do for your mind. I know you've heard it a million times before, but I promise you that those things really are the key.

I have battled anxiety in the past & have taken meds for it. The medicine made me feel out of it most of the time, I felt hopeless, & like I was watching the world pass me by.

Thankfully I am no longer taking any meds. It was pure hell trying to come off them & I hope to never be back on them.

Keep doing what you're doing. These small changes will keep adding up & you'll see a huge difference soon in the way you look, but more importantly in the way you feel. Give it time, trust the process, & it will work. Good luck!
