Iv tried eatin 1200 cals and 1400 cals cuz i didnt think i was eatin enough. Can someone help. How much do i rly need to eat to lose weight and get to my goal of 126.

If you enter your current weight, goals, and activity level into MFP, it will generate a calorie goal for you.

1200-1300 is probably about right, be sure and get your macros worked out to get a good split of protein, carbs, and fat. If you are building muscle it will affect the scale that's why I wouldn't worry so much about just the weight but your body fat%. lean muscle weight will not be anything like fat weight on you.0

If OP is eating at a deficit, she will not be gaining lean muscle weight.0 -
Why does eveybody say "1200 sounds right"? It's too little even for someone her size. That's the minimum recommended comsumption. That calorie level will allow her to lose may 2-5lbs, most probably coming from lean muscle, then she'll plateau when her metabolism slows down.
1. You should continue to eat normally BUT WEIGH EVERYTHING to see what you're eating now. If your current eating has caused a gain that means it's surplus.
2. Then reduce that amount by 20%-30%0 -
What @XavierNusum said. I'm 4'11", 33 years old and eat 1600kcal on busy days and about 1450 on lazy days and lose weight just fine. 1200 is such a terrible amount, it's so sad.0

Thank you! @minties82 you should go around and tell all of the 1000 to 1300 calorie eating women around the forums that fact! Thank you again!0 -
The number of calories for a given size of person is also affected by age. At 60, 1200 calories was right for me.0

What did you enter your weight loss goal as? You should choose .5 pounds a week, no more. I know it sounds frustratingly slow, but at your size you really can't afford to lose weight quickly. Try the .5 pounds a week option and MFP should give you at least more than 1200.
