Help! Volunteering on a food truck for a week...

My eldest child is marching DCI this summer and I volunteered to work on the food truck for a week. Here's the deal....

The DCI kids are burning TONS of calories each day due to their workout/schedule so the truck always serves high calorie meals. Four meals a day to be more specific. I will be doing prep and clean up for each of the meals.

What can I do to keep my progress going in the right direction? Ideas on food to bring? How to squeeze a workout in?

All help is appreciated!

Honestly take as much advantage food prepping (cutting, bending lifting boxes of veggies and meat, cleaning, wiping, moving around as much as you can) and make sure you stand the whole time on the food truck. Then in the exercise database, calculate 3/4 of your time doing this activity selecting the "cooking or food preparation" option and that in itself is a work out. I do food prep a lot because I have a small catering business and if you take advantage of it, it can be a hell of a work out.

I would bring yourself a sandwich and some fruit to keep hydrated and lot's of water, but don't deny yourself of something that you want thats on the menu. Just pick your choice, keep it balanced and moderated and you will be fine. We are always going to run into these triumphs so instead of crossing off everything we want, learn the balance to choose how to eat differently and you will feel very accomplished. That's my advice.

    Good Morning Cnava01,

Thank you for your advice. I went down to San Antonio to help out for a few hours yesterday and you are correct. It is going to be a workout. Between the movement and the record heat we are having I think I will be ok. Just have to make sure I am drinking enough water! :D

    Thanks again!

    Have a super day!
