Do you weigh all your solid food on a food scale?

It took me six weeks to lose my first pound. How long have you been doing this?

Measure your waist, hips, thigh, neck and upper arm. Use that as a checkin instead of the scale. My muscle mass increased and I haven't lost a pound either (I have been exercising hardcore for months now). I've started measuring because I couldn't imagine that it was having no effect. My body fat is down from 36% to 29%, even though I haven't lost any weight (still frustrating). I love this picture for reminding me that muscle really does weigh more than fat. http://imwm.org/5-lbs-of-fat-vs-5-lbs-of-muscle/

These things take time, it's not a fast journey.....But you may need to up your game some....have you considered buying some light weights to use while walking? Or implementing some strength training? Believe me, you will be shocked within ONE week of lifting even light weights, your body won't know what hit it xo

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be losing on a 1200 calorie diet teamed with exercise. I can only reiterate the above posters - are you logging every thing correctly? If the answer is yes and you have a sufficient calorie deficit, Id probably suggest changing up your exercise routine slightly and seeing how you go. If you can intensify it slightly, that might kick the weight loss up a gear. Incorperate some weight training in to the mix if you can too, this is brilliant for fat loss.

If after doing the above you are still not seeing results, I'd delve a little deeper and speak to your GP. Their may be a thyroid issue or a type of medication you are on that is stalling weight loss. They may be able to refer you to a nutritionist that dig a little deeper and lay out exactly what you should be eating.

I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease), and I lost weight just like everybody else—by eating fewer calories than I burn.

OP, have you seen the weight-loss flowchart?
