snack bars: protein v. fiber

i've been looking for that perfect snack bar to keep in my glove box, gym bag, etc. for when i need a snack between meals. Is it better to go for high fiber or high protein to stay satisfied?

    Not a fan of snack bars...a waste of calories on something that is not very delicious/filling. Just my opinion though :)

    I like the high protein bars-- I try to "eat" 5X a day to keep from having insulin surges and I find the protein fills me up and also keeps the cal count down while really trying to keep the protein up. IMHO

    deff protein! it will help energize you before you workout, and it deff fills you up more than fiber. protein shakes are great too!

    Both will keep you full, but if you're keeping them for workout recovery, you might prefer to have the extra protein.

    On the other hand, if you're not getting enough fiber in your daily food choices, then maybe the fiber bars might be a better choice for you.

    i'm not crazy about any that i've tried but what is the solution to having a healthy snack, that doesn't need refrigeration, is very transportable and easy to eat on the go? If there's a better solution, i'm all ears :)
