Hey everyone. So I have 10% body fat, I'm 6'0, and 123.8 pounds.. I eat 2700 calories a day, and it's literally took me two months to gain 1 pound. I lose weight faster than I gain it..any suggestions or advice on what I can do to help me gain some weight, I go to the gym also only two days a week, but train for 1 hour and 15 minutes, including start cardio and a cool down.. thanks everyone for the support, inspiration, motivation!

You might try 3000 calories for a month and weigh to see the results. I have moved from eating mainly carbs to fats but it is much harder to gain weight eating mainly fats vs. carbs for some reason in my experience.
Gaining at your current rate you can hit 148 in only two years.

How did you get your body fat% measured? Do u have a very active job?0

I did the Hydrostatic Weighing through a lab here in Las Vegas. It's the most accurate body fat testing. my body fat has actually gone up, when I first started in April after having my daughter I only had 6.8% body fat. & yes my job is active, always moving, and I'm a single mom so we're pretty much on the go from 5:30am to about 6 at. night.0

Well since you are very active, you are going to need to eat a lot more calories. You probably maintain close to 2500 calories or so. Bump up your calories to 3000-3250 and see how that works out.
Also, drop the cardio (just burns more calories) and just concentrate on weight training. If you want some cardio effects, just limit breaks between sets to 30-90 seconds.0 -
2 months to gain 1 pound, means that you are only eating at a surplus of around 58 calories a day. A nice speed of weightgaining is at about a 250 calorie surplus. So I would advice you to atleast eat 200 calories more each day.
Slowly increasing up to that number is totally fine if you are having issues with increasing your calories even further.0 -
Eat more, cardio less. Lift all things.. just cuz it's great.0

Do you find yourself constantly hungry at 10% bodyfat?0

no not really. I'm always thirsty, I drink about 3 gallons of water a day.0

Agree with other posters. Just keep bumping your calories up every week until you see a consistent gain. Your weight might fluctuate a lot as you eat more, so the first couple weeks of weight data are not very helpful. Eventually you will be able to see the overall trend over time though.0

It is true what everyone said about the calories. I had the same problem for years and when i added more calories, I realized I was gaining weight. But make sure you exercise (weight training, less cardio) it helps too!0

I share the exact same problem
I'm 6'1" and weigh 185lb my goal is 200 to 210 lb
U need to change up ur routine at the gum and push ur self harder
Eat before bed
Eat high calorie food
Protien shake
Snack thru ur day
Stop the cardio and go more to the gym
Work ur legs hard
Good luck0 -
