Same here. Lots of great info and very educational. Some of it's a little far-fetched for most people's lifestyles.forgivensins wrote: »I have Eat to Live and his cookbook. I tweak stuff and I've read his book twice. I'm not fully committed but I do like the nutritarian way in general and find ways to incorporate it into my lifestyle.

I really tried to eat the dr Furhman's diet plan and felt great but I kept on craving meat. I still think it is a sensible diet plan but with modifications.0

any book can be "informative" in that they contain words, which you then absorb into your brain-thing via reading, thus having the information being transmitted from paper to memory
but that doesn't make their information good
a book I would recommend (it's an older one) is Advanced Sports Nutrition by Dan Benardot0 -
Personally I'm on the "Eat as if I'm going to die someday" diet.
I'd question any diet that claims otherwise.0 -
You mean to tell me this so called Dr. is telling us to eat more fruits and vegetables......what a quack! I'm not convinced at all. Doesn't he know fruits and vegetables have carbs! Somebody needs to stop this guy before he does any more harm.0

I have found the most success in losing weight and feeling great while eating this way.
It's a hard first week to get through that's for sure. I also struggle with food boredom and stress eating. What are some of your favorite recipes to keep things interesting?
Life and health includes how happy one is (believe it or not happy people don't stress as much). IMO, diets like these are extremes and why the failure rate is so high.
I'm not faulting you on the diet, I'm faulting the diet itself. I promise you can lose weight if you just eat less than you burn.
