Hello!

I have been on MFP for a while now. I haven't been very consistent in using the site but always enjoy when I log in and read everyone's posts. I gained over 80 pounds with my pregnancy and am down to only having about 10 pounds to go. Until this point I haven't really watched what I ate or done much exercise. I've decided that I am going to be more disciplined - I have logged all of my food this week and purchased a treadmill on Monday.

I'm finding that I do really well with all categories except sodium and sugar...although I fought off a horrible craving for the bag of Chewy Sprees in my desk drawer yesterday!

A little about me: I will be 37 in September. I'm married to my wonderful husband, we have a son together who is five, he has two children from a previous marriage that are 17 and 12. We have two dogs and a cat, Chumlee a Cocker/Springer mix, and Chuck a Basset Hound. We recently purchased a home and have been working frantically on the weekends to "fix it up".

I would love if you added me as a friend.

-Dana

Welcome and good luck on your new lifestyle journey. You will get all the information and support you need here. I wouldn't worry about your sugar if your carbs are good. I don't track sugars. Since they are included in your carb count my nutritionist told me not to worry. Concentrate on total carbs and not just sugar. The soduim is another story. Just try not to eat a lot of processed foods and you'll see that go down too.
