So how about we all post something healthy that we would choose over a doughnut any day!

Our Executive Director asks me "Holly do you know what today is?" I say "Yes (sad face, pathetic voice) National Dounut Day." He proudly says "Yep I had to stand in line at Don's (local donut shop) for 30 minutes waiting for these. They're still hot feel the box they were so packed in there."
And then he does the most awful thing he could...he put them on my desk. I waited til he left the room and then took those evil little things to the lunchroom and haven't looked at or touched them again!

Coworkers brought donuts today and I'm happy to report I walked right on by....even saying "no thanks" when they brought them right in to my desk. Whoo hoo!!

Way to go on resisting the donuts!! You all should be proud...personally not a huge fan of donuts...but cinnamons rolls that is a different story...my go to food for resisting temptation would probably be a banana or someother sweet fruit!

I actually *did* have a donut this morning... and it fit perfectly into my calorie goals for the day. I know not everyone agrees, but I think occasional indulgences are absolutely OK. In fact, I would fail over the long term without them. :-)

    But I wants the doughnut . . . it's my precious . . .

Oh, but instead of the doughnut, if I am totally craving it, I'll try to make some low carb type muffin something. Cheese is also a big comfort food for me, so maybe some nice swiss would be an option, too.

I didn't even know it was National Doughnut Day....but I had one...my first in years!!! My hubby left for the weekend with his mom and stepdad and I have to work, so I got left behind. In a 'i feel sorry for myself' moment, I got a doughnut....only ate half though!!!
