My story is that I can drop pounds in the summer when things are slow but struggle to keep it off the rest of the year when I get much busier. Any suggestions ?

Very similar to my life. The only thing that worked for me was to allow myself a 'window' an allowable limit for which I would allow myself to fall in. As soon as I reached the max...I re-dedicated myself to MFP and being more accountable. For me it was a pair of pants that I no longer could fit into so I went hardcore back into it and did something about it before I gained too much back.
Seems that all the times I slipped in the past it was because I waited too long, and let the months fly by and lost all motivation and confidence. Winter is horrible here, I get super busy coaching and the weather is terrible but...you really need to pay close attention to your diet when exercise opportunities are not as plentiful.

I am in the same boat. Are you a teacher? I signed up for a half marathon in October to make sure I keep running. Am thinking about joining the YMCA for a few months over the winter to keep myself going. Don't know if the treadmill and work out videos are going to keep me going Nov-April. It takes a lot of mental pep talk to make me do those things. I will figure out how to budget an added expense because it my HEALTH we are talking about. Would love to hear other ideas.

I am in the same boat. I had a huge weight loss and loved it and now have gained about 7 pounds back. I am also a teacher and start school again tomorrow. I am actually better during the school year because I have a routine and structure. During the summer it is a food free for all. I'm going to go with riffraff2112's suggestion and create a bubble and kick it into high gear when I reach the top. Before I do that I need to lose my extra 7 pounds.

If anyone would like to add me as a friend to keep each other accountable I like friends.

In a practical sense it is not probably with the Standard American Diet.

Tell me about it. Usually I would gain weight around winter time and after Christmas. Busy schedules makes it harder I agree but not impossible. Have you got time to prepare your own lunch night before, even if just a sandwich or throw together quick salad? and if you dont have time for grocery shop, perhaps order online to be delivered? Hope you find a way so it is less struggle for you.

    Sounds pretty normal :)
For me, it's harder to make the 'right' choices in winter especially nearing christmas. I think it's really about finding the tools to stay strong. The temptations will always be there unfortunately. Wishing you the best of luck!
