a couple of years ago, i did well on another plan and lost 3 and a half stones in 8 months.... then my brain took over and i have piled nearly all of it back on :-(
By Xmas last year I was staring at 15st 2 on the scales so decided to start all over again.... this went well for 2 months where i did see the magical 13st something on the scales... then my grandad was taken ill. After a month travelling up and down to the hospital to visit him, I had to have him transferred to a nursing home where sadly 3 weeks later he passed away. With the mammoth task of sorting out his funeral and his estate falling to me, my eating pattern just went out of the window and last Friday I found myself weighing in at 14st 12 (not good). After a day of cutting down drastically (2 corned beef sandwiches and a cereal bar!), I decided to join up yesterday (14st 8.5 on the scales) and start my exercise dvds again. I am a serial sneaky peeker so this morning the scales showed 14st 7 n 1/4. I just have to make sure that I keep to sticking the DVD into the machine everyday (this can be very hard as I am a shift worker).....I am off on my hols in 8 weeks so I am hoping to reach 13st 8 by then (fingers crossed)

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandad. Please don't beat yourself up for gaining this weight - as you know well, there are sometimes more important things to focus your time on than what your food is adding up to. It seems now you are in a place to get back into it, so well done you for getting there and surviving some hard times. Wishing you the best of luck - you can do this.0

Thank you. I just dont know why I go into overeating mode, I did try a high protein diet last month where I lost 6lb in 4 days (14st 2).... then nothing more for well over a week and what with the constipation..... i thought "I will just eat a load of carbs for a couple of days to get me going" (10lb gain this month).....then I had birthday and anniversary celebrations thrown in lol! Now thats all finished, I have no excuses!! Will report back on Sunday with hopefully a respectful loss....0

I'll be routing for you!
Remember, the odd treat is absolutely fine - despite how against it some people on here - I like to have a 'human' approach to weight loss. You need to be fulfilled too, so whilst I DON'T agree with eating masses of cake every night, a cheeky chocolate bar won't be the end (although log if you can!)0 -
Well today I have had scrambled egg on toast, a cereal bar, a large salad from Subway and a bag of Percy & Penny sweets I found in my work drawer......this has left me with nothing to eat for dinner tonight but at least the sweets are gone ..... I have already planned tomorrows meals, I find it helps me when I get into the habit of working meals for the next day out on the previous day.0
