Fourth time back to MFP.....

I am having such a hard time getting motivated. I was doing so well there for a while, but fell off the wagon......again, and again, and again. Now that my wedding is out of the way, joining two households is complete and things have settled some, I don't have an excuse. I feel so miserable!

Same here...did great, then got pregnant, did great for a month, then quit, so this is probably my fourth time too back to MFP! I was just sick of feeling, well as you put it, so miserable! It's been over 2 months and I still have never felt so motivated. Good luck to you!!0

I have also come and gone a few times from other calorie counting websites, this time has been different though! I'm over 3 months and still going strong! A big thing that has helped me is every time I'd fall off the wagon and quit logging, ~ 6 months down the road I'd kick myself and think 'why did I stop I could be X lbs lighter by now!' I'm tired of feeling like a failure so 6 months and a year from now I'm going to be saying, 'Yes I really did it this time!'0

SOOOO glad to hear Im not alone! I quit logging for weeks at a time. Then I get mad at myself, eat more, and eventually the cycle starts again (with a few extra pounds). I often wonder why any of my MFP friends even bother keeping me around since Im not exactly motivating! haha
Ive been successful here before. I KNOW this works. The process works, the science makes sense, and the theories are wise. I just lack discipline. I cant control myself when I go to a baby shower, birthday party, or other event.
I'll be good for a while and then fall of track one time, and it spirals. I tend to think "I might as well just blow the rest of the day since I ate that cupcake/bag of cheetos/etc". I think I KNOW what my "problem" is, I just have a tough time restraining myself when I get going. Im not like this with any other aspects of my life, but FOOD is totally emotional for me.
So...Im back, too. Again. Im commiting to taking this one day at a time. Maybe even one hour at a time on those tough days! GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!0 -
fourth time's a charm!?! tehe don't worry though, STAY WITH IT! you're right - less excuses now!
good luck to you. and if you ever need inspiration... troll around the "success stories" posts, that's what keeps me in it!!!0 -
It has done me good to see that I am not the only one who continually falls out of balance! I hope I can stick with it this time! I am sure with encouragement from people like all of you, I stand a better chance of being successful. Good luck to all of you! Two days of logging in - I will see you guys TOMORROW!!! Thanks a bunch for the kind words of encouragement:-)0
