i wanted a rough idea of my body fat percentage so went to boots to use the scales but they were broke so instead I used some calculations on the Internet and the results I got were between 31 and 32% I'm 5'2 and 146lb. The results I got are quiet high so I would like to try improve it, is it as simple as just loosing weight or is their something more specific I should be doing to lower the percentage. Thankyou

Your best bet is to purchase some calipers from amazon. Very cheap and the most accurate way of telling :)

Loosing weight with most of it fat is the way ahead. As a woman 20% or so BF might be a "trim" number.

For your weight and height, unless you have A LOT of muscle (as in, have invested serious time and energy into building muscle), you should focus on losing some weight.

Eat at a deficit and lift heavy things. Something like StrongLifts 5x5 does a good job, but if barbells aren't an option there are dumbbell and body weight routines available too.

Without the lifting the body fat % may go down, but you will lose more muscle, hence slowing the process.
