I'm sorta new here, not to weight loss but trying to lose these last 20lbs is proving to be difficult, so I joined this site.
All of these pictures have inspired me so I'm posting mine as well! Can't wait til I can post my GOAL photo! If any of you have any tips on what helped you lose those last 20 and are similar build as me, please do feel freee to share!
For reference, I am 5'4.
This was me at my starting point at 220lbs:
and this is now at around 155-158lbs

Awesome! I am 5'4'' too... started about 201.
Any tips? Did you eat a certain number of calories a day consistantly? For example, I have been eating 1200 for 9 weeks or so and haven't lost in over 2 weeks now. Looking for advice on whether I should change something or just stay the same.
Did you exercise alot?

First of all, congrats on your progress so far! Love that we are the same height
As for your questions, yes, I work out, A LOT. When I first started I started at a Boot Camp. 1 hour of working out every morning at 6am-7pm. I couldn't even do ONE push up on my knees let alone run for more than 10 seconds at a time....I can now do 30 push ups in a row (regular form) and run for 15 minutes straight...well jog! LOL
I know that without strength training I would NOT be where I am and my stomach wouldn't be as tight as it is. Strength training has built up my metabolism immensely so even when I can't make it to the gym, I'm still burning calories. I was able to keep my muscle.
Lately, I've been slacking and that is why I'm guessing I haven't seen teh weight falling off as frequently. I just started up again after a busy busy work week the past few weeks and I'm going to stick with it now.
As for calories, I alternated/pyramid. So for instance, Sunday I would eat 1600 cals, Monday I would eat 1400, Tues 1200, Wed 1000, Thurs 1500, Friday 1300, Saturday 1200. That's just an example. It was never really consistent. If I knew I was going out to eat that weekend, I would allow myself an extra 300 calories than normal. And then I would busy my butt harder at boot camp the next day. I would work out 5x a week for an hour a day.
I know you can get there, look at the perseverance you've had for 9 weeks already! Keep pushing through it!!!0 -
Wow. You look wonderful..Congrats on your success!0

Looking good! Congrats on making it this far. You are definite motivation for me seeing as how I'm 5'5 and started my weight loss journey at 220lbs. I've since lost 31lbs which puts me at 189lbs, but I sometimes feel that I will never reach my goal.0
