Bridesmaid NSV

I am in my friends wedding in July this year and bought my bridesmaid dress back in January. At the time I had to order a size 12..... this weekend my dress came in and I tried it on. I have to get it majorly altered!! I have to take it in about 2 1/2 inches in the bust, 2 in the waist, and 3 in the hips!! I am thinking this makes it about a size 8!! woo hoo!

I am sooooo excited! Just thought I would share!! I have been able to achieve this in just less than 4 months! Keep up the good work people!!!

    Same with me!!! My sisters wedding is June 25th. I have lost 25 lbs. And who knows how many inches. The dress is a 20 but I am thinking it should be a 16 now. Woot!

    Awesome! Congrats! Maybe the bridal store has the 8 you can exchange it for so you don't have to pay for all those alterations.

    same here!! i was given a size 14 dress... and i got it yesterday and it definitely needs to be alterned BAD lol im not sure how many inches... Its for my sister's wedding in august.

    Congrats on the dress. Those are so much better then the number on the scale :drinker:

    I sure hope I have the same NSV... I am in one in the end of July and I ordered a size smaller then I was at the time... I ordered an 8 and I sure hope I dont have to have it let out :/

    Congrats!! Me too!! My best friend is getting married next weekend (June 11/11), we ordered our dresses in January of 2010. I ordered 1 size smaller than my measurements, making it a 12, I am now having it taken in about 2 inches in the bust and 2.5 in the waist!!

    Doesn't it feel fantastic to be smaller?!! :P

    I just found a bridesmaids dress for my bestfriends wedding, I am the maid of honor and the only bridesmaid....my dress is a size 22(I have big boobs! My hips and waist were size 16)!!! The girl helping us did tell me that their dresses are 2-3 sizes smaller than what I would regularly wear but it still killed me but motivated me more! I am working to lose another 25lbs by the wedding(Sept. 24th) so hopefully I'll be able to enjoy this same thrill! Congrats!

    So awesome! Such a great feeling. My sister's getting married in September. We sized the dresses in December, the dress was discontinued so we had to get them immediately, I was down 2 sizes. Then around when I thought I'd dropped another size, I called around and they had a left over another size smaller. I think it looks great now, but would love to be another size down by then! Congratulations!
