Luna bar bloating?

Curious if anyone else experiences bloating when eating luna bars? While eating them I got so blown up I was actually asked if I was ok by someone because it looked so bad.
Wonder if luna bars were the cause or something else. For now I stopped them and don't have the bloating anymore.
Anyone else have the same experience?

It is too bad they are very convenient as a snack, taste good, and fill me up.0

I haven't (though I usually don't use Luna brand, but another one with more protein).
Do you have any allergies? If it happened as quickly as it sounds, that would be my guess. What is the time frame on the bloating?0 -
I don't have any allergies that I know of. A little gluten sensitive I think but lunas are gluten free. It doesn't happen the same day, usually start getting the bloating the day following eating them which makes it hard to connect the 2. But can't think of what else it would be.0

Yeah, I wouldn't blame an allergy if it's the next day. It could be a sensitivity, gluten or otherwise (I didn't know Luna was gluten free
). It is hard to connect, but if it stopped when you quit the bars, it sounds logical that they are the issue. Have you tried Balance Bars or any other brand (again, I don't know about the gluten)

Yeah, Luna bars tend to have a decent amount of sugar alcohols, sometimes 5-10g if I recall correctly. Some people experience more gas or other gastic discomfort with sugar alcohols - it sounds like you may be one of them! I had the same experience and now carefully check labels. Usually the worst culprits are bars that are "chocolate" coated, as the "chocolate" is sweetened with the sugar alcohols. If I have protein bars these days, I choose Quest bars. They have ~2g of sugar alcohols for most varieties, which doesn't bother my stomach.0
