Can anyone tell me if I should be adding exercise to My Fitness Pal when Garmin Connect counts all my steps and activity. Seems to me that if the Vivo fit is counting then why should I add exercise to My Fitness Pal... This can really throw off my caloric intake for the day!!!! HELP!!!!!!

    Connect your accounts at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps/show/120

    Enable negative calorie adjustments: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

In the MFP app, go to More > Steps and choose Garmin.

Do not log any step-based activity. Log non-step exercise (like swimming or biking) either in Garmin or in MFP—never both. Exercise logged in MFP overwrites your Garmin burn during that time.

When I go to the gym or am active at all my garmin adds calories burned to MFP from my activities on the Vivofit and labels it as walking at 2.0 pace for an hour. It also shows that I burned 700 calories which is correct based on my HRM. People must hink Im crazy. How can I change it to say that I played tennis instead of walked at turtle speed.

Thank you so much for your replies. I now have a better understanding on how both programs work together. Should I enable the HRM on my Vivofit as I just got this ?
