Weight calculation for exercise

Does MFP take into account my weight when I track an exercise? For example, I did water aerobics for 1 hour today and MFP said I had 300 calories burned. If I was not overweight would I have burned much less? And if so, how big of a difference would it be? My current weight is 206 with 147 my goal. Thanks!

MFP takes into account your weight, age, height. More mass = more calories burned.

If you were lighter, you probably wouldn't have burned as many calories.

However, MFP is notoriously known for over-inflating it's calorie burns... eat back 50-75% just to be safe.

I agree with the over-inflating caloric burns. Every time I put into the diary my exercise and duration it tells me I've burnt a good 100 calories or more than what my HR monitor displays

Yes. When I enter a lower weight, mfp gives me less calories burned for the same exercise.

How much lower jaga13? 10% less, 50% less. Just wondering what the difference will be roughly between now and my goal...60 lbs less.

At 5'1, 130 lb my aqua fit burn was 185. I think that was an MFP estimate. It was pretty accurate.

    Cheers, h.
