My husband bought popcorn he thought was low in calorie. The brand is Newman Own Natural Popcorn. The calorie is 130 and the serving size says 3 1/2 cups per serving this is the microwave kind. My question is does anyone know if the entire bag is 3 1/2 cups or is it half of the bag. Please help, thank you!

It has to be measured because it might not all pop. and popcorn is the most difficult thing to figure ever in the history of the world!!!! I weight my popped corn and go by what scan of barcode lets me do. really hope that helps.0

It should say "serving size", then "servings per bag". You can figure it out that way.
Or weigh it, which is more accurate.0 -
The big bags are usually several servings. The tiny 100 calorie bags are one serving.0
-
It should also say on the box or on the bag how many servings in one bag. If the bag has one serving then it is 3.5 cups in the bag. If it says that there is more than one serving in the bag, multiple the number of servings by 3.5 and that tells you how many cups of popcorn in the bag.

Each bag is 3.5 ounces, and there are approximately 3.2 servings per bag. In other words, one bag is approximately 425 calories.0

it should tell you on the box how much serving sizes it is.
and if you want cheap calorie popcorn and the most bang for your bucks
By an air popper ( on amazon 19.99)
And buy orville redebachers popcorn...
120 calories for 40 gram of unpopped popcorn
Some kernels seasoning abd spray
And for 2.5 serving ( like i eat every evening since 10 months) you have a huge bowl of popcorn to nibble on......( and it is only 300 calories all together for me, you can choose to eat less ofcourse)

Heck, even popped in oil popcorn is a great snack. 1/2 cup popcorn, 2 tbsp coconut oil, four satisfying servings at 112 calories per serving and the coconut oil is so flavourful you don't need butter.0

Thanks all, I really appreciate all the great responses.0
