We have three kids ages 3, 4 1/2 & 7. And I just cook healthy foods like chicken with bell peppers and onions, or porkchops with mushrooms and onions. And the kids eat it. For lunch yesterday I made them pb&j sandwhiches, raw broccoli, raw cauliflower, blueberries, and string cheese with milk to drink. I don't make them special foods, They eat what ever we eat. My kids love yogurt, and fruit and veggies. But I started them young. I think salad is my sons favorit food
Good luck! Or if your kids don't like veggies... you could aways chop some up really fine, and put a lot of them in spaghetti sauce and put it over some whole wheat pasta. I also used to give my kids spaghetti sauce over rice. They loved that! 0 -

Anything fresh from the produce section is great! They say to shop on the outside of the store because it has the healthiest options!!! Here are a few ideas
GOOD LUCK!
Have a pizza party with fresh veggies, low fat chees, whole wheat crust, and lean protein like turkey sausage or chiken! YUM
The kids can make their own pizza and learn how to pick healthy options....!
Also a tomato based sauce w/ fresh veggies grated in on top of whole wheat pasta....!
It is summer... Grill chicken, veggies, and fruit! - Fresh pinapple on the girll is great as well as fresh peaches...!
Stuffed peppers - stuffed with brown rice, turkey sasuage, rice, and other delicious spices....!
Turkey burgers!!! Served with veggies and dip and fruit!
TLT's - Turkey bacon, lettuce, and tomato on whole wheat bread with reduced fat mayo (I like the new olive oil one) - Fruit on the side0 -
Yay Corbin Ky... I'm originally from Jackson County so I know the area.
My daughter is almost 4 and I can tell you a few things she loves but I don't know any miracle food ideas that you've probably never thought of yourself.
1. Have you tried the mini pizza's on flatbread. They're delicious and soo much less calories than real pizza.
2. My daughter loves shrimp. I just boil it with a tiny touch of butter and garlic salt, parsley or cilantro.
3. Baked potatoes with low fat ranch dressing
4. Brown rice cooked with diced tomatoes and a can of veg all veggies (High in carbs but still better than some foods and delicious)
5. Quesadillas on fat free tortilla with low fat cheese and pulled chicken. (We all love these)
6. I take baked chicken and pull it like for chicken salad and cook it with salsa and corn, sometimes we eat it on tortilla and sometimes on tostadas (we all love this dish too)
7. lower fat versions of apple crisp are a good dessert but my daughter likes the full fat sweet treats.
My daughter likes salads and raw veggies as well as the high fat foods so I just mix it up.
I can't think of anything else right now.. but I hope this helps a little bit.0 -
