Im worried im not doing something right.
Ive been reading and some say to eat more, some say to decrease calories, some say to increase activity, Etc, Etc
but what if im screwing everything up? I don't wanna eat more, i dont trust that i am following the right information, if weight loss is stalled at the amount of eating now, how is eating more going to help? I just want to see the scale go down.. its been almost 4 weeks now.
I havent left yet, so ill answer some questions before i go.

I am weighing everything, i own 2 food scales in my kitchen
I am set at 1.5lbs loss per week at sedentary level
I eat anywhere between 1000 to just under 1300 depending on if im up before lunch (so my work days)
Ive been stalled for 4 weeks.
I currently work 12 hour shifts on my feet, averaging 22,000 steps per day.
I do 30 min of cardio on my days off.
I do not eat my excersize calories back.

The "Kriss's personal entry" is me taking the nutritional labels on the food i buy and entering in all the data myself and saving them into my food log, so that i do not have to wade through the database to find the match to what i am holding in my hand and reading or having to constantly correct peoples label errors. It also ensures that i can log my food in grams or ml, instead of in tablepoons or oz or something else

If its a recipe it will say "Kriss's Recipe" in which i have made individual food entries using their nutritional labels, added them all to my log as the amount of grams or ml i have used in the recipe and then divided it by the number of servings i get.

I am no where near my weight loss goal, i still have 86 pounds to lose

The more i re-read this, the dumber i feel, im doing everything wrong here, i can tell.
im probably screwing up the logging, im probably weighing that food on my scales and its probably not even right.
that 60g of ham i weighed out today was probably 100 and both scales are screwed up or something.

If its really about eating less then maybe i just need to start eating 1 egg and not 2
3 crackers and not 5
7g of mayo instead of 15

Half a sandwich instead of a whole one.

and half of what i eat at dinner, so 50g of meats, less grams of veggies.
Maybe stop snacking.. i dont know =(

If your not losing weight, your not eating at a deficit.
To lose weight ,all you need is a calorie deficit. To be sure your actually eating at a deficit, being as accurate as possible will help. Use a food scale for all your foods and log them accurate
There's nothing to be paranoid about . it comes down to cico

Put your weight data into a trending tool and see if you're really stalled or if the trendline is still coming down. I like Libra on Android or trendweight.com on the web/any platform.

    On MFP here's my chart:

    3gzn9s69mzln.png

Look at the horrible up down and flat section. On trendweight.com - same data, same time period:

It's like weight loss perfection by comparison.

Eating more is ridiculous, CICO rules your weight loss, eat less or move more.

There's really no information here that any of us can help without making the most basic assumptions.

Are you weighing your food? What is your weekly loss goal set at? How many calories are you eating? How long has this been going on?

Without knowing a lot of this, no one can give reasonable, helpful advice. However, if the plateau has been less than a month, there's nothing to worry about. I only say so because most people post threads about this only after a week or two of no loss. If you're doing everything right, just wait it out.

I also want to add that if this is causing you that much emotional distress, rather than just frustration, it may be time to step back and reevaluate a few things. By being so quick to be distressed over a stall, you are essentially setting yourself up for failure. It's not an attitude you can uphold long term without negative consequences. Just take a deep breath and know that you are on the right track, and it's not something to get as upset over as it appears to be happening.

So you've lost 39 pounds so far, and if that picture is a recent one you must be close to your goal weight, right? Everything I've read says that the last few pounds are slow to come off. Your logging is filled with entries that say "kriss's personal entry" so seems they are recipes you've worked out and weighed. If that's the case, just breathe and trust the process. Remember weight loss slows down as you get closer to goal. You could always add some exercise to see if that helps (of course you don't need to, but I find sweating helps me stave off anxiety!).

You're doing everything right. Please don't freak out.

Sometimes stalls just happen. I've had plenty! I'm in one right now.

Okay you need to stop freaking out. I'm a little confused why you have a private entry for EVERYTHING. If you input anything wrong that could throw you off. The bottom line is, if you're eating 1200 calories (and you should NOT be aiming for less), you'd be losing weight. Besides your recipes, why don't you try finding the appropriate entry for the brand/food you are using, weighing, and logging it. I just wonder if those private entries are throwing anything off.

Also, it takes me 3-4 weeks to see the scale move downward. Take a breath.

I think you have to change your activity level to lightly active instead of sedentary because you're on your feet so much. The activity level you choose is based on what your work day looks like, and yours doesn't sound sedentary to me. I also wonder if you're you're not eating enough and your metabolism is slowing down. You said some days you only hit 1000cals, which is too low for anyone. Remember that if your body thinks it's being starved it isn't going to let go of anything.

Those are just a few of my thoughts....

That would not happen at this point. 4 weeks of 1000 calories? Starvation mode? No. You'd lose weight. At an unhealthy/fast rate.

By the sounds of it, you are not going to listen to anything we have to say.

For the sake of your mental health, I really think you need to seek a professional over this anxiety. If something minor like this can set you off, I can only imagine something more life altering. And this is coming from someone that is medicated for anxiety.

Sometimes support includes things you don't want to hear. It doesn't mean that it isn't said with kindness or that it's false.

Well thanks so much for that "support"
    Much Appreciated.

People have offered help, but you refute everything by coming up with a reason not to. Instead of focusing on weightloss, I think you have some bigger health problems to focus on such as this obsessive behavior. Otherwise, this is going to be a journey that will be a lot harder than it needs to be. Good luck. I hope you see that this is meant as help and not a personal attack.

Take a breath....another breath.....it's going to be okay.

You are doing the right things that help you stay in a calorie deficit. My biggie question, since you have lost 30 pounds so far:

Did you allow MFP to recalculate your calorie intake with each ten pounds you have lost? The smaller we get, the less calories we need.

I also wonder if what you're experiencing is natural fluctuations. Have you kept a log of your weight so you can graph it to see how weight fluctuates. I use Trend weight, which I love.

Finally, the less weight you have to lose the slower it will come off. You will not lose weight every week. I would suggest patience and possibly looking at where you might have some logging errors.

    Good luck!

What exactly have i denied? Someone asked me why i log my own foods, i explained why.
I have explained why i have not changed my calories to lightly active calories because that is eating more and im not experiencing a loss with less, so im waiting for a better answer other then starvation mode.
Other then that, all ive had is if im weighing my food, which i am, and what my activity level is which i explained.
Lifting weights has been the only other suggestion made so far

I'm glad to hear this, because starvation mode is a myth when it comes to the everyday dieter. :)

This is inaccurate because the OP said she is stalled, thereby she would unknowingly be eating at maintenance. You never increase your activity level or your calories when you're not losing weight. That's just not how it works. :)

Well just for the record, before anyone else decides to toss me a "get professional help" card.. i am already seeing someone, however at 12:40am in the morning its not like i can just call her up at home and get some counseling, i posted here looking for people who may be able to offer some reassurance of some sort, but i guess im just bat *kitten* crazy.

    Thanks all

No one is calling you "crazy." I've dealt with anxiety and depression my whole life and that doesn't make me crazy. I'm sorry you feel attacked but you are clearly demonstrating disordered behavior regarding food. Mental health is just as critical as physical health and that's all the other posters are saying. If you wanted people to tell you that you should cut calories to dangerously low levels you're not going to get that kind of "support." That said I really do hope you have a better day tomorrow. If you stick with accurate logging, the weight will come off. You just need to be kind to yourself in the meantime.
