I have been adding a couple of HIIT workouts each week, any suggestions on how to log it, trying to be as accurate as I can ?! ( I want those extra calories lol )
Thanks

There is no way outside of a lab to be accurate. Everything is an estimate.

What kind of workouts are you doing? It's hard to suggest a decent way to estimate without knowing what you are doing.
  • Apps like endomondo have interval training routines that will take into account your age/weight/heart rate etc. To calculate your calories burned. It's not as robust as I would like but it auto adds the calories right into MFP once you link the 2 apps. Cheers!

Log it by time as Circuit Training.

When I do my HITT workouts on a treadmill, bike or rower and I log my average pace. Also, when I can, I use a heart rate monitor and log my calorie burn based on my average heart rate for the workout.

Read somewhere to add 15% to calorie burn for HIIT. Can Do higher % if heavy, extreme workout. Was in conjunction with my trainer at the time.
