Looking for Active 21 Day Fix Group

If all goes according to plan I will be starting next Thursday. When I searched I could only find groups for last month. Are there any active groups out there?

Hi. I'm not sure about active groups but I do the 21 Day Fix workouts currently. I've done a few rounds of fix and a couple rounds of fix extreme. I just started doing the regular one again with heavier weights. I don't use the food containers but I do my own healthy eating. I'll be a partner if you need/want one.0

Yeah that would be great. This is my first time doing it. Basically I'm an obese 27-year-old woman (5'2", 169 lbs) who has the motivation to lose weight but not the discipline (so far). I was a healthy weight until after high school so its not a metabolic issue its a laziness+food loving issue. I was able to do a 5 Day "Clean" Eating challenge a couple weeks back and lost 8 pounds and that really woke me up to all the excuses I'd been making. I'm hoping having someone I can be "accountable" to will keep the fire burning so to speak. Let me know if you're still interested or if you're looking for someone with more experience!0

This lost me at '21 day' and 'Fix'.
In fairness however, I have no idea what this involves but you'd probably be much better off on a sustainable long-term plan than something that offers you a fix in 21 days. Just my 2 cents. Wishing you the best of luck whatever road you choose to go down.0 -

I think the name doesn't do it justice. It's a good workout routine and it offers great nutritional advice.... Just skip the shakeology unless you really want to overspend. I've been doing the workouts since April. Just because itsit says 21 Days doesn't mean you should stop working out after the 21 days are up.0 -

It's a Beach Body rip off of Weight Watchers old exchange program. You get very expensive Tupperware for your portion control, and Beach Body workout DVDs. If you like the workouts.....great. Otherwise look up container sizes on Pinterest (you can make your own easily).
But yeah, I don't see using this as being a lifestyle change.........0 -

Absolutely agree - but I think the name itself suggests it's 21 days and you're done, which for a lot of people sounds highly tempting! Again though, I'm ignorant where this is concerned. I shouldn't really knock something I know nothing about - I think the name just annoyed me!0 -

You're right. I did go into it thinking I'd be where I wanted to be at 21 days and I think the instructor even implies as much during some of the routines but I did learn that nothing comes easy or quickly. That said, the exercises and healthy eating have helped me get closer and closer to my goals. I've seen you post on a few other boards... I'd be curious as to your thoughts. You should YouTube the routines and see what you think.0 -

Yeah I agree the name sounds kind of "gimmicky". What caught my eye was the portion control idea of it and a steady workout plan. I think its a good start for people who find the idea of weight loss overwhelming (like me!) even though its theoretically simple (calories in vs. calories out)

You're absolutely right, I did see the container sizes on Pinterest as well and debated whether it would be worth it, but decided to go ahead for the workouts (and I even ordered the outrageously expensive Shakeology, at least for this first round). I am just not disciplined and hope that a fool proof program all laid out will help. I'm willing to admit that this program may be a waste of money but I've wasted money on much stupider things than this.
As far as not using it as a lifestyle change, I'm not sure I agree, as far as I can tell the 21 Day Fix doesn't advocate starvation diet or anything just perhaps healthier food than I would normally choose. I'm not saying in the future I would *never* have a piece of birthday cake again I'm just saying that it doesn't need to be an everyday thing for me and that nutritious food should take priority.
I do love to admit when I'm wrong, though, so if I fail miserably I'll probably update this post haha.0 -
I'm pretty certain that the "21-day" gimmick is a well-planned marketing angle that makes dieting/losing weight/getting fit seem less daunting to those just starting out or on the fence.
"Lifestyle change" may seem so overwhelming, it easier to sell something that appears to be ... well easy. But to maintain the loss and levels of fitness it eventually must turn into that change, but it might make coming to that realization far less stressful.0 -
