How many eggs is too many?!?

Ha. When I was diagnosed diabetic type 2, my doctor advised me to start my morning with an egg. Sometimes I did. The days I did, my blood sugars were rock-solid for the day. I suspect the nice hit of protein helped me stay stable.
That was my thought too. It seemed like a great way to keep blood sugar stable is to not elevate it in the first place, and eggs are great for that.
Most of the studies done were the type where you logged your foods or told them what you ate based on recall, and we all know how well that works out. Plus they rarely take into account what you're eating with those eggs.
So... take it with a grain of salt (which I also think is a good thing).0 -
I eat atleast 3 a day; some days 50

I live on a farm and own 19 chickens. My family eats eggs at least one meal a day, sometimes two. I alone eat 3 (2 whites, one yolk),every morning. On the mornings I skip them and have a sugary breakfast I feel sluggish the rest of the day.0

Dipping a crunchy toast slathered with creamy butter in a well made soft boiled egg is one of the great pleasures in life.
Amen to that!0 -
I would definitely worry about cholesterol levels with the yolk!! I wouldn't have more than 2 whole eggs a day, the rest would be egg whites0

No such thing as too many eggs. They are an excellent food source. I keep a dozen boiled in the fridge for a quick satisfying snack or breakfast.0

A couple a day.0

When I'm on my normal eating/gym routine I eat 5-6 eggs almost every day and I'm perfectly healthy. Don't worry about your egg consumption OP, somehow I think you eat fewer than I do.0

I love having hardboiled eggs in the frig. Enjoy them in salads or by themselves as a snack. Omelet with lots of veggies. And best of all they feel me up so I'm not hungry after.
