edited November 2024 in Introduce Yourself
Hey Everyone... i'm not a newbie to my fitness pal, but i am a newbie on the boards. i wanted to introduce myself and hopefully get some help in a few areas. Let me tell u a bit about me. i'm 39, overweight at 233 pounds. I have 3 children, married and other than trying to keep up with the house, i work full time (currently about 50 hours a week). I'm looking to de-stress and get healthy. Looking for a bit of guidance with nutrition and weight loss. Hoping for a bit of motivation (along with the stress, i face problems with depression... so i know getting healthy will help in this area also)

Anyway, thats me in a quick hello... look forward to chatting with you

Hi and welcome to the boards :]
It's fantastic to see you wanting to make the steps to a better you, stay positive and I promise you'll get there.
To start with, log your food and keep it simple. If you're already stressed, you don't need to be entering into anything that's going to make your situation even more stressful because you'll "Fall off the wagon". Allow yourself small treats in moderation so you don't feel deprived and enjoy the process. This is a fantastic step you're making and whilst I can see you're a busy mum of 3 - You can still do this. Good luck!
