Hey y'all! Looking for advice. What do you do when you go over 500+ calories one day? Do you chalk it up and just strive to do better in the future. Do you try to lower calories for future days? I'd like to hear your strategy!

One day won't make or break you. Just move on.0

As much as it pains me...yep, it's logged. Scary thing is, I'm pretty sure that's how much I regularly ate not too long ago, so my weight gain makes sense.0 -
I have an every other day, higher/lower, calories plan. So if one day is high it is no trouble because the n next will be lower anyway.0

I hope you mean over 500 calories over your calorie goal and not just 500 calories.

Most likely, you ate at maintenance for this day and it won't even affect anything. STRESS however, can raise our cortisol levels, which creates a hormonal imbalance, that can hinder our loss. Relax woman!0 -

Good to know. Another reason for me NOT to weigh myself every day as well. Seeing those numbers go up drive me crazy!0 -

Just take it as a cheat day and move on. As long as you don't do it aaallll the time you will still lose weight. Some people say that we need days where we eat a little more to keep us in a good healthy dieting mind frame and stop us from being miserable.0
