    From my personal experience, I used the elliptical when I first started. I made sure ever time I got off it my shirt was soaking wet. I see people on it chugging away without breaking a sweat while reading their books. That could not work for me.

    Later on I ended up moving to the treadmill and get a much better workout on it.

    I agree with the poster above - push yourself to burn those calories :]
    Of course, don't do yourself an injury but sweat is good! We like sweat here!
