Weightloss Program Costs

Hi All, I got to thinking today about how much Ive spent over the years on weightloss programs. I mean the actual cost per pound lost and kept off since completion. Since Ive put back on pretty much every pound ever lost through programs like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers etc, I can't even come to a mathematical conclusion. I'm not talking about the cost of food, we all need to eat, but the cost of the actual program. I'm thinking that since this site is FREE (WooHoo). If I can come to a reasonable figure, I'll just open a new bank acct and deposit $XXX for every lb lost, and reward myself in 6 months, year, whatever it takes.
Thought on this anyone?

    Great idea!
Three months ago I won a personal shopper for three hours. I keep putting her off because I want to save her for my final wardrobe. Well, finally we're going this Saturday. I can't wait!

Great Idea! Last time I was on WW it was $39 a month. Maybe I will deposit 1 dollar for every day I stay on track.
  • That sounds like an awesome idea! and use the money when you hit your goal weight on something for you! i opened this cause I was just writing a post for my blog about the costs of different programs! I would love your input if you want to message me!

PS I am a total pitbull lover ;) we rescue them!

This is a really good idea!! If you could put in a dollar a pound (I think it is Jenny Craig that says 20lbs for $20), then that could end up being a very large reward depending on how much weight you have to lose. I'm not sure how to figure out a reasonable price beyond that, but I think this idea is very good. It will motivate you to work hard and you will get a reward in the end.

I cancelled my ww online about a week ago. At 16.95 a month, pain in the *kitten* to get the points logged in. I found myfitnesspal on Tuesday. So far very impressed at how easy it is to log your food and the food diary. I don't think there has been 1 thing that I have typed in that has not come up. Love it so far. Wish me luck!

Last time I did WW it was $40. a month to attend the meetings. I think there is is more support here, and a heck of alot more exchange in ideas, tips, and motivation.
