Eating is out of control.

Hi. I am 5 foot 5 and currently weigh 119lb. I used to weigh 139lb about a year ago and within the last maybe 4 months I would say my eating habits have gotten extreme. To the point where I am exhausted and frustrated and just overwhelmed. I track my food religiously on this app and I believe I am at a deficit. I just bought a food scale and tested out some foods I commonly eat and in some instances I feel I may have underlogged things, but overall I believe I was eating about 800 to 900 calories a day for a couple months here. Over the last few days I increased my cslories to 1200 and it's been hard for me. I feel that is too much in my mind since the lower range was causing my weight to drop on the scale and I was feeling good about it. You see, I really feel I have a very chubby face. I fixate on my appearance and think that if I become thin enough, I Wil finally lose some facial fat. Until then, I just want a stick thin but somewhat lean and strong body. Tonight, along with probably one night a week for the last weeks, I what I call 'binge ate" late at night. I ate like 900 calories during the day with my egg whites and protei n pancake in the Am, my salad and cheese stick at lunch, and small salmon with veggie dinner. Then I went nuts and ate 2 English muffins, a laughing cow cheese, 7 small pumpkin cookies I baked, and then oatmeal with 2 bananas on it. I am about to start my period so my cravings are high, but I am SICK OF this kind of eating. It ruins my progress or whatever I am maintaining which is crazy as it is. What can I do to become more normal?

I'm confused, are you trying to lose more? 1200 is the lowest you should ever go unless otherwise told by a physician. 5ft 5in and 119 is a healthy weight.
Don't beat yourself up about giving in to the desires, you wont put on several pounds with one day of eating what you want. You'd have to eat 3500 cals OVER your maint cals to gain one pound.0 -
Do you feel deprived? It sounds like it to me..... Up your daily calories to the 1200 that you are allowed that way you will feel more satisfied and should stop the binge eating0

You are already on the very low end of what would be considered healthy for your height. You are probably wanting to eat because you are HUNGRY. You state that your goal is to be 'stick thin,' but I'm afraid that's not really healthy. TBH, it sounds like you are teetering on the verge of an ED. You might want to consider talking to a counselor or someone who can help you work through some of these things, before you start engaging in some really damaging behaviors.0

You're eating way too little. Don't go under 1200, and honestly at your height I'd say eat at 1400 at least. This should help you feel better and stave away binges. You sound like you're too obsessed with your calorie intake at this point with a potential to spiral into disordered eating. Have you calculated your TDEE? 119 is a good weight for your height. I'd say you're better off eating at least at TDEE/maintenance and start working out to tone up, ie gain muscle and lose fat, if you haven't already. It's not a guarantee of losing your "fat"face, which probably isn't fat at all, but it'd probably help.0

Oh, lovely girl - please eat more.
Forget all the 'details'. Forget all the calculators. Please, please eat more.
Not only is your diet plan unhealthy, but your mindset is dangerous. You need to speak to somebody about this, it's very easy to fall into this trap but it's down to you to get yourself out of it. You are not behaving in a way that will benefit your body and mind and isn't that the point of this website?
I wish you luck in finding peace with yourself. That's what you need - peace. Not a diet.0 -
Sweetie I've looked at you profile pic and you do not have a "chubby face" . You do have a most beautiful face and bad body image. Please eat more and "indulge" yourself with a bit of dark chocolate when your period is due as you are going to have years of dealing with them so learn the best way to do that now. If you really want to "slim" you face down then do what all the celebs do and get yourself a contour/shading set and watch some YouTube tutorials on how to give the illusion of a slimmer face. X0

This. You already look very pretty. Going to 113 will still be "healthy" BMI, but even if it would fit you better (which I doubt) there is no reason to go about it starving yourself (ED). Based on height and weight you could probably eat 1400 calories and lose 0.5lb/week (assuming you are sedentary to lightly active), and your goal (whether healthy or not) would be knocked out in 12 weeks.
Starving yourself is just going to make you skinny yet flabby, not lean and strong like you want. You would probably be better served eating 1700-1800 calories and lifting weights. And no, you probably wouldn't gain weight (excluding initial water weight) eating that much, as that is a maintenance estimate based on being lightly active.0 -
Hey, I asked you in your most recent thread if you've sought professional help for your problematic relationship with food. Many posters previously have expressed concern.0

Please find some professional help.0

Serial poster - always same topic.0

There are many red flags of disordered thinking and actions in your post. As already mentioned, seek specialized professional help.0
-
This is very disordered thinking. You should definitely seek some counselling, and consult a dietitian and or nutritionist.

You need to love yourself as you are. I agree that you sound like some serious anorexic type thinking here. I echo that some professional help is a good idea.0
