    Hi, Welcome to MFP
Have you set up your food diary? That is the key to help keep you on track. You have to decide if you want to lose weight more than you want to stay the same.
If you keep over eating and give yourself excuses to do so then nothing will change. You will stay the same weight or even heavier.
You need to draw a firm line in the sand and say that today is the day!
Set your diary up to maintain your current weight at first. Then knock 100 calories off that at a time. That will make it a slower weight loss but will help you not feel hungry.
Don't try to cut out any food types, if you want chocolate eat a few squares, if you want bread, eat some. As long as you have the calories you can eat what you like.
If you are running out of calories have a walk for 30 minutes or so to give you more calories.
You really can do this, you just have to choose to do it.
    Good luck

Thanks so much you are right it's about accountability which is something I am not good at. I have been very good of ignoring my weight health issues and I need to stop living on the island of denial.

This is it this is my line I want to lose weight and I don't want to remain the same :)

First work on the happy part. Why are you not happy? Is not being happy making you eat more? Are you addicted to food or are you trying to fill a different void in your life with food?
Start logging and being accountable but stop to think about your happiness. Whether it is food, drugs, alcohol or other, addiction usually stems from unhappiness or other emotional turmoil.
